Reaction Time!

We are coming to the end of our inquiry unit about how the body works!

The children have learnt so much and each day they are inquiring and asking more questions which is great.

Yesterday, Monday, we did an experiment about the nervous system and our reaction times.
One big observation we had was that if we trained we could improve our reaction time.

Check out the photos from our experiment.

Calendar Art

Well it is that time of year again, Calendar art!

This year Room 14 carried on with our balloon theme and our learning journey.

Check out our amazing calendar art. Come on in to see it up close and personal.
All order forms went home on Tuesday 30th September. These need to be back to school by 16th September.

HNPS Olympic Day

We held Olympic Day last week, on Friday 12th August, on our school field.

The day kicked off with the opening ceremony. Leo ran an opening lap with the Olympic torch. Mr Reed and his brilliant commentary was a highlight of the ceremony as teams walked their lap of the field.

Tabloid sports followed at 10am with Juniors, Middles after morning tea and Seniors after lunch before our closing ceremony.
The winning class, who took home the best dressed country, was Room 23- with their crowns the Queen would have been proud.

Olympics!

Room 14 watched the women's sevens in anticipation... unfortunately we buckled under Australia's pressure and an unfortunate yellow card!

Bring on the next medal..

Tough Guy!

What a day! We had 20 out of 26 of our class participate in this event and boy was it awesome.
The kids had a ball and by the end of the day even taking photos was hard as everyone was top to toe in mud!

See if you recognise these children from our room?
